RAI Kidar Nath, M.A., the well known public spirited Hindu leader and honorary Secretary, Hindu College, Delhi, sends the following welcome telegram dated September 1:-"Fifteen thousand collected as required by University." The news will be received with a thrill of heartfelt satisfaction and deep gratification by all who have felt anxious for the future of the Hindu College, Delhi, not only in Delhi itself but also throughout the Punjab. It would indeed, have been a sad day of humiliation for the Hindu community of Delhi, had the college been compelled from sheer lack of requisite funds to lower the shutters and close its portal against the faces of the students knocking at them for admission. The calamity is past. The result has shown that Delhi is not barren of merchant princes and wealthy men with the hear to give, and so long as there are sincere and true-hearted leaders like Rai Kidar Nath to remind them of their duty, the honour of the Imperial City and the Hindu community is safe. To Rai Kidar Nathhimself and his colleagueswhat reward can be greater than supreme satisfaction of having done their duty by the community at a critical juncture, and the Imperial City has just reason to be proud of them.
