Beijing, September 23
A powerful explosion ripped through a fireworks plant in China’s east Jiangxi province, killing seven people, authorities said on Saturday.
The plant in Shangli county was ordered to stop production early on Friday due to loopholes in production safety, authorities said.
The plant, however, continued production in the evening after which the incident took place, sate-run Xinhua news agency reported. PTI
