4 more deaths set alarm bells ringing in Panchkula


Panchkula: Four deaths were reported from the district for the second consecutive day on Monday, setting alarm bells ringing for the district Health Department. Those who succumbed to the disease were a 45-year-old man from Golpura, a 79-year-old man from Sector 20, a 70-year-old man from Pinjore and a 45-year-old man from Rajiv Colony. Three of them had no known comorbidities. The Covid-19 toll has reached 172. The district also logged 277 fresh coronavirus cases, including those who could not be traced on Sunday, taking the active caseload to 2,176. The district has so far seen 17,065 cases, while the cumulative recoveries stand at 14,717. — TNS
