Seven families in Kakrali village were bereft of shelter when a major fire burnt their shanties near Barwala road today evening.

Residents rushed out of their homes as soon as the panic gripped the area. The raging fire gave no time to residents to salvage their belongings. No loss of life was reported in the incident.
