Delink DA from Punjab pattern: Chandigarh MP Kirron Kher

Chandigarh: Local MP Kirron Kher has taken up the issue of dearness allowance (DA) with the UT Administration. In a letter to UT Adviser Dharam Pal on Thursday, Kher said the Central Government had increased the DA from 17 per cent to 28 per cent with effect from July 1. She has requested that the DA on the central pattern may be granted to UT employees and pensioners by delinking it from the Punjab Government pattern. The UT Administration follows the Punjab pattern on the issue. TNS
