Speeding car kills 3 people

PATIALA:Three people of a family, including two kids lost their lives while two others were critically injured in a road mishap in Shambhu on Thursday evening.

Three people of a family, including two kids lost their lives while two others were critically injured in a road mishap in Shambhu on Thursday evening.

The police informed that five people were standing on the road side near Shambhu Khurd village, when an overspeeding vehicle rammed into them.

Mohammed Danish, a complainant said a silver coloured Innova coming from Ambala side hit his family members and the accused fled from the spot. The deceased were identified as Fida Hussain (7), Riahana and Rehmat, all residents of Jhill village.

Investigating Officer Gurjant Singh said, “The injured are being treated at the PGI, Chandigarh. The accused is on the run.” 

The police have registered a case against an unidentified person under Sections 279, 304-A, and 337 of the Indian Penal Code.  TNS
