As many as 40 young vivacious and versatile student artistes of the Dev Samaj College for Women, Ferozepur, led by their mentor Palwinder Kaur and principal Dr Madhu Prashar, gave sterling performances of dance drama and music.

Be it opening patriotic ‘Vande Mataram’ or dazzling Punjabi dance giddha, Rajasthani ‘Chari’ dance and enterprising ‘Bhand Mirasis’, they thrilled the stage with skilled precise and eloquent movements much to the delight of audience.

However the staging of a short play, ‘Nafisa’, which chronicled the predicaments and unethical torture of women from the ages of Sita, Draupadi to Damini and Nafisa, made many eyes moist. The young artistes won standing ovation as the CSNA chairman with Atul Sharma and Balkar Sidhu blessed the artistes.
