A model United Nations conference on the theme of “Nature protects if it is protected” was organised at Saint Xavier’s School recently.

As many as 350 student delegates from 12 different schools participated in the conference. There were seven different committees formed representing different nations. Kushal Pal Singh Shante, dean, College Instructions, Government Post Graduate College for Girls, Chandigarh, was the chief guest on the occasion.

The event started with a welcome dance performance that depicted five elements of nature.

Students dwelt upon different aspects to save nature during the event. The chief guest exhorted the participating students to imbibe values to preserve nature.
