In view of the upcoming Independence Day celebrations, the Punjab Police, the Government Railway Police (GRP), along with Railway Police Force (RPF), on Saturday carried out a joint search operation at the railway station here.

A dog squad was pressed into service to identify suspicious elements.

The luggage of passengers was checked at all platforms of the railway station.
