CHANDIGARH: Almost a week after a Punjab resident had reached the DC office with a fake appointment letter for the post of data entry operator, the UT police have registered a case against unknown person.

Almost a week after a Punjab resident had reached the DC office with a fake appointment letter for the post of data entry operator, the UT police have registered a case against unknown person.

The DC office staff was left stunned when one Mukhtiar Chand walked into the office with an appointment letter of data entry operator.

The matter was referred to the UT police for investigation. The police inquired into the matter and found that some unknown person had issued a fake job letter to Mukhtiar Chand.

On a complaint of Rajinder Singh, an employee at the DC office, a case under Sections 420, 467, 468, 471 and 511 of the IPC has been registered against an unknown person at the Sector 17 police station.
