A woman has accused an Ambala resident of raping and blackmailing her. In a complaint to the police, the woman alleged she had come in contact with the suspect in 2013. One day, he allegedly took her to a hotel and raped her. She alleged that the suspect also blackmailed her and raped her repeatedly over the next a couple of years.
She claimed that in 2016, she went abroad but returned in 2017. The woman alleged that the suspect got a marriage certificate made and pressured her to take him abroad. She alleged that the police had recorded her statement on February 13 but the suspect was yet to be arrested.
