PANCHKULA:Over 79,000 devotees paid obeisance at Mata Mansa Devi temple in Panchkula and Kali Mata temple in Kalka on the third day of the Ashwin Navratra festival.

Over 79,000 devotees paid obeisance at Mata Mansa Devi temple in Panchkula and Kali Mata temple in Kalka on the third day of the Ashwin Navratra festival.

Balraj, Advocate General of Haryana, along with his family members paid obeisance at the Mansa Devi temple. City Magistrate Mamta Sharma, CEO of the Mata Mansa Devi Shrine Board SP Arora and secretary Sharda Prajapati were among those present.

Mukul Kumar, Deputy Commissioner and Chief Administrator of the Mata Mansa Devi Shrine Board, said: “A donation of Rs 10.94 lakh was made on the third day of the festival. As many as 73 silver items were also donated at the temple today. Similarly, a sum of Rs 3.02 lakh was received as donation at the Kali Mata temple at Kalka. As many as 55 silver and 5 gold items were donated at the temple”.

Mukul said 11,000 devotees paid obeisance at the Kali Mata temple in Kalka today. — TNS
