TMC’s Moitra withdraws plea against eviction

New Delhi, February 2

The Delhi High Court today allowed expelled Lok Sabha MP and TMC leader Mahua Moitra to withdraw her petition challenging the eviction notice issued by the Directorate of Estates asking her to vacate the government bungalow allotted to her as she had already vacated it.

“The petitioner is already stated to have vacated the accommodation in question. The petition is dismissed as withdrawn,” Justice Sachin Datta said after Moitra’s counsel said the petition had become infructuous in view of the fact that she had already moved out of the premises.
