Jammu, January 28

The Indian Council for Cultural Relations (ICCR), Ministry of External Affairs Government of India, is set to launch a programme — ‘Samvaad’ — which will feature globally acclaimed scholars, artistes, directors, poets, writers and performers.

Giving details, Balwant Thakur, Regional Director, ICCR J&K, said the first such programme would be held at Abhinav Theatre in Jammu on January 30 in collaboration with the J&K Academy of Art Culture and Languages.

He said the first programme would feature Santanu Bose, an eminent theatre director. Bose, who is the Dean of the academic affairs at the National School of Drama, New Delhi, is an established name in the field of direction in theatre. Thakur said ‘Samvaad’ was aimed at connecting the world with Jammu and Kashmir.
