Karnal: Awareness drive on career opportunities in Air Force

Karnal: The Disha Cell of the Indian Air force organised an awareness drive on career opportunities in Indian Air Force in collaboration with No 2 (HAR) AIR SQN NCC Karnal and Dyal Singh College. Commanding Officer, Wing Commander Pawan Goyal, Sqn Ldr Prashant Kumar, Principal Dr Aashima Gakhar, Dyal Singh College, ANO flying officer Dr Suresh Duggal, and others were present. They cleared the doubts of the cadets about the procedure of selection in the Service Selection Board (SSB). Disha cell of the IAF has developed an induction and other gadgets aimed at showcasing various facts of the IAF. As many as 600 cadets from Dyal Singh College, Government College, KVDAV College, DAV PG college, Khalsa college and other institutes of Karnal visited the specially designed vehicle. This modified vehicle has three virtual reality consoles, a hydraulic simulator and many miniature models of various aircraft in the IAF inventory.

Prof Dhingra appointed KU proctor

Kurukshetra: Kurukshetra University Vice-Chancellor Prof Som Nath Sachdeva has appointed Dr Sunil Dhingra, Professor of instrumentation as proctor of KU till further orders. Prof Brajesh Sawhney, director, public relations, KU, said Prof Dhingra will also be the chief vigilance officer of the university by virtue of being the proctor. Prof Dhingra thanked the Vice-Chancellor and said he would work with full dedication and honesty.
