Karnal, November 5

In a major relief to hundreds of residents, the state government has regularised Rajivpuram and Ror colonies. The government had earlier regularised 33 colonies of the 66 proposed by the MC.

Confirming the notification, Dheeraj Kumar, EO, MC, said the government had regularised both colonies. Residents of both colonies were elated.

Munish Kumar of Rajivpuram said it was one of the oldest colonies in the city. “We will get all basic facilities soon,” he said.

Harvinder Kalyan, Hafed chairman and Gharaunda MLA, said residents of both colonies had met him and apprised him of the problems being faced by them.

Thanking Chief Minister Manohar Lal Khattar, he said it was a Diwali gift to residents of the two colonies.
