Awareness drive on disaster management

SHIMLA: The Himachal Pradesh State Disaster Management Authority (HPSDMA) will organise an awareness and capacity building campaign “Samarth-2018” from October 1 to 13.

The Himachal Pradesh State Disaster Management Authority (HPSDMA) will organise an awareness and capacity building campaign “Samarth-2018” from October 1 to 13.

Special Secretary, Revenue and Disaster Management, DC Rana said the campaign was started in 2011 to spread awareness on disaster risk reduction.

Mock drills would be conducted in educational institutions. Slogan writing, quiz, poster making and essay writing competitions would also be held in schools, he added.

Documentaries would be made and the best one would get an award. — TNS
