Nadaun police station in Hamirpur district has been ranked the best in Himachal in the annual ranking of police stations for 2019.

Chief Minister Jai Ram Thakur congratulated the state police in general and Nadaun police station in particular for being ranked among the best police stations of the country and the best police station of the state.

The annual ranking gives an insight into the functioning of the police and provides valuable inputs to formulation of public policy in the wider realm of internal security. The criteria for ranking include standard of service delivery, identifying techniques of improvement in policing, addressing of cases and infrastructure.

The Chief Minister said that the Certificate of Excellence was provided to this police station by Union Home Minister Amit Shah. He said that the ranking of police stations is carried out by Ministry of Home Affairs, Government of India, and the same was released by the Union Home Minister in a ceremony during DGPs conference recently.

The DGP, Himachal Pradesh, had conveyed his greetings to the police station for this performance.
