Satpal Singh Satti slams Urmila Matondkar for ‘maligning’ Himachal

Chairman of the State Finance Commission Satpal Singh Satti today rebuked actor Urmila Matondkar for her remark in which she advised Kangana Ranaut to fight drug menace in her state.

In a press release, Satti said the actors entering into verbal spats was not his concern, but attempts to malign the state would not be tolerated. He said since Matondkar had contested an election on the Congress ticket, party leaders from Himachal Pradesh should speak out whether they support or oppose her derogatory remark. Satti said he supported the legal notice sent to Matondkar by an advocate from Himachal Pradesh on her statement. He said such irresponsible and divisive statements should be opposed by all. — OC
