The High Court has sought a fresh status report on the progress of the Parwanoo-Solan road within two weeks and listed the matter for further hearing on January 4.

During the course of hearing, the manager (Technical) of the National Highways Authority of India, has filed the status report and, after perusing it, the court shows dissatisfaction over the slow pace of construction work and observed that, “We are   not   satisfied   with   the   progress.”

A Division Bench comprising Chief Justice Surya Kant and Justice Ajay Mohan Goel further directed the NHAI and the project proponents to speed up the repair/patch work of motorable road and submit a fresh status report.

The court passed this order on a public interest litigation regarding the slow pace of construction work on this stretch.
