Solan, July 15

Vanathi Srinivasan, national president of the BJP Mahila Morcha, today said women were safe as no accused was being shielded whenever any crime occurred.

Srinivasan said this while interacting with mediapersons here. In response to a query on allegations levelled by leader of the Opposition Mukesh Agnihotri about women not being safe, she said, “Whenever any crime occurs, law takes its own course and the government does not shield the accused.”

Women were being provided opportunities to gain employment under various state and Central schemes and they should reap the benefits.
