A 27-year-old physically challenged woman was raped on Tuesday night when she was returning home after watching Ramlila.

The woman in her complaint has said she was abducted by two persons and was taken to a nearby place where she was violated.

The woman was a divorcee and had a child, a police official said.

The police said one of the accused was known to her.

High drama was witnessed outside a local police station when relatives of the victim, along with councillor Lakhvir Singh Bajwa, alleged that the police were not registering a case against the accused.
