Hoshiarpur, December 27
Three persons were killed after a scooter and a tractor-trolley had a head-on collision near Handowal village on Chandigarh-Hoshiarpur road here today. The deceased have been identified as Jaswant Singh of Hariana (Hoshiarpur) and his wife, who were riding the scooter, and tractor driver Amrik Singh of Kazi Kot road, Tarn Taran. All of them died on the spot.
According to the information, the couple was going towards Mahilpur from their home. The mishap took place when they reached the Handowal bridge. After the collision, the tractor-trolley fell alongside the road.
The Chabbewal police sent the bodies for postmortem.
