30 cartons of illicit liquor seized; 2 held

Jalandhar, October 12

Staff of special operation unit seized 30 cartons of illicit liquor from Vikram Singh alias Vicky, of Mitthupur Basti, and Ranjit Singh, of Nima Sooraj Ganj, and arrested them here today. The liquor was brought from Arunanchal Pradesh.  The police nabbed the accused near Maqsudan bypass. A Honda City car (bearing registration No. PB10BP8596) was also seized from them. A case under the Excise Act has been registered. — TNS
