Union Minister Som Parkash laid the foundation stone of an underbridge near the Nangal-Khera railway crossing here on Tuesday. The underbridge will cost Rs 3.5 crore and will be completed in three months.

Addressing the gathering, minister Som Parkash said residents of Nangal, Khera, Bhanoki, etc, villages were disturbed due to the railway crossing near Nangal village. Students and office goers reach office late due to the closure of the railway crossing gate.

This was a long pending demand of the area residents. Considering the important demand of the people, the issue has

been resolved and this underbridge has been approved. Avtar Singh Mand, national general secretary of the BJP Kisan Morcha, and Paramjit Singh, district vice-president of Kapurthala, were also present.
