Minister Dr Inderbir Singh Nijjar to chair event on plastic ban

The district administration is organising an awareness event on the ban on single- use plastics on Friday which would be presided over by Local Government Minister Dr Inderbir Singh Nijjar at CT Group of Institutions, Shahpur.

Deputy Commissioner Jaspreet Singh said the district administration would take the awareness on the ban to the grassroots so that the message could be executed efficaciously. The Deputy Commissioner said eminent personalities, besides students, would participate in the event.

The Deputy Commissioner also made a fervent appeal to the people to start with reusable cloth totes, reusable drinking container, metal drinking straws, etc.
