Congress leader Nimisha Mehta has again landed into controversy. Some residents of Dagham village levelled allegations against her. They have given a complaint to Garhshankar DSP against Nimisha Mehta alleging that she made casteist remarks on Sunday, when she had visited their village.

They have alleged that she, along with some of her supporters, tried to interrupt the wheat distribution in the village and when opposed, used casteist remarks over them.

Addressing a press conference here in this regard, Jaswinder Singh and Manvjit Singh, residents of Dagham village said Nimisha came to village with outsiders and tried to spoil the atmosphere of the village. She abused them using casteist remarks and abusive language. PPCC Secretary and Sarpanch of the village Harmandeep Singh said he would not allow the harmony of his village to be spoiled and in this case he would complain to high command.

‘Complaint false, Goldy playing cheap politics’

Nimisha Mehta held a press conference in Hoshiarpur to clarify allegations levelled against her.

“Former Garhshankar MLA Love Kumar Goldy is disturbed by my rising popularity among the SC community and is now getting false complaints filed against me by descending to cheap politics,” said Namisha.
