Fitness for me

Look, feel and be fit. While being healthy is paramount, looking the part – some vanity too finds way in my life!

Swear by yoga 

I swear by yoga. I feel it’s a complete body-mind workout. Pilates is my alternate go to regimen. The controlled movements and the flow makes it one engaging workout. It’s very effective on second layer of fat.

Worth it 

I workout six days a week but not like hours at it, an hour or an hour half is good enough.

Eat right

I am a healthy eater. Not a fan of gluten, most of my meals are wheat/rice free. Apart from that I eat all regular stuff – dal and veggies.

Meal code

I start my day with cinnamon water. I try three meals a day. Breakfast eggs or fruit; dal, sabji in lunch and dinner is lean protein – largely fish. In between meals, I have green tea or black coffee.

Sinful indulgence 

Every Sunday is a cheat day for me. One must satiate one’s soul. I eat what I feel like. Most my indulgences are often limited to a pastry or a bar of chocolate.

Sweet talk

I have a major sweet tooth. Being a Bengali, I just can’t get over our own sweets – gur sandesh tops the charts here.

Inspiration flows

I am inspired by all our leading ladies – Katrina Kaif, Deepika Padukone, Priyanka Chopra, Alia Bhatt – they are as accomplished actors as fit as fiddle.

Monday break

I observe Monday fasts - its partly religious, part spiritual and definitely healthy. Its considered Lord Shiva’s day, I was born on shivratri, so I feel a strong connect. Also, considering Sunday is a cheat day for me, Monday makes sense for a break for nourishing body with liquids or easy food that are not much load on system.  

Fast and easy

One hack that’s worked really well with me is intermittent fasting. For quick results, this is my short term go to solution.
