Celebs share how they are having Iftaar in this crisis and what all they prefer to eat

Keeping it safe

Due to the surge in Covid-19 cases, this year also there is neither any Iftaar party nor group Iftaar on the sets. Instead of the lavish food spread where friends and extended families come together to open their fast, people are having Iftaar at home with their close family members only. We spoke to a few celebs on how they are managing their roza amid the lockdown and what all they prefer to eat in Iftaar….

Due to shoots being cancelled, I have moved back to my family home in Ahmedabad and have been fasting regularly. It’s much easier to do it with the family around. Iftaar mostly begins with a few fruits and a lot of water, as I find myself very dehydrated. Followed by namaz and then a full meal. Then, a light workout later at night!

Short break

Fasting this year is going on at home with my family. Breaking fast on the sets while shooting has always been special, but I feel a short break, especially in this holy month, was much needed. In Iftaar, I prefer to drink Rooh Afza; eat fruit chaat and shami kababs, which are my personal favourite.

Due to the lockdown shooting is on hold; so I am able to keep roza and offer prayers properly. For my Iftaar a protein shake is a must. I also have some fresh fruits and sandwiches. We don’t eat fried stuff during Iftaar.

Roza is going well this year as we all are at home. I am happy that I am able to do my prayers on time. Talking about Iftaar, I prefer to break my fast with fresh fruits and then later on I eat some salad and, of course, kababs!

Slow & steady

We open our fast with dates, fruits and lemon water, and then slowly eat some kababs. I find it very difficult to start eating immediately after opening a fast. So, we take it slow and steady.
