Four teams of Ludhiana district and Ludhiana Basketball Academy (LBA), compising 46 players, left for Bathinda to take part in the Punjab Youth (U-17) Basketball Championship for Boys and Girls to be held from September 9 to 12.

Before their departure, the players and officials, accompanying the teams assembled at Guru Nanak Stadium where office-bearers of the District Basketball Association wished them good luck for the ensuing competition.

The players of the four teams are (LBA) Karanbir Singh, Rohit Kumar, Bibek Singh, Balraj Singh, Ramneek Singh, Bhanu Partap Sood, Gurmat Singh Panesar, Simranjot Singh, Babbu Maan, Amritpal Singh, Karanbir Singh and Ramandeep Singh. Rajinder Singh and Sukhwinder Singh have been appointed coaches of the team.

Ludhiana district (boys): Ekampreet, Rabnoor, Sanmya, Jashanpreet, Paras Sharma, Gagandeep, Kaveya, Gunvir, Abhey, Sahib, Shubham and Navraj. Ravinder Gill will be the coach while Davinder Singh is named manager.

LBA (girls): Manmeet Kaur, Mahip Kaur, Muskan, Yashika, Aditi, Komal, Nadar, Tavleen, Sanya and Aman. Saloni will accompany the squad as coach.

Ludhiana district (girls): Shivani, Sehaj, Neelam, Gurleen, Driti, Daman, Karan, Parneet, Arsh, Vaibhavi, Ravneet and Prial. Narinder Kumar has been appointed the coach. — OC
