Ludhiana, August 6
The crime wing of the Ludhiana police recovered two minor children who were kidnapped over a month ago.
DCP (Crime) Simratpal Singh Dhindsa, ADCP (Crime) Rupinder Kaur Sra addressed a press conference in this regard.
Dhindsa said on August 5, the police had arrested Raja Ram, alias Raju, a native of UP and at present residing at Dhandari Kalan, his wife Birja Devi, daughter Anjali, alias Puneeta. They were arrested from their native place in UP and the two children, Ravi Kumar (6) and two-and-a-half-year-old Prince Kumar, were recovered. The police handed over the two children to their parents on Friday.
The DCP said Raja and his wife wanted boys but the couple had two daughters due to which they kidnapped the two victims.
The police said further interrogation of the accused was on to know whether they were involved in any other kidnapping case or not.
