Man held for raping 3-yr-old stepdaughter in Ludhiana

Ludhiana, August 6

A man has been arrested for allegedly raping his three-year-old stepdaughter at a migrants’ vehra situated on the Badewal road. The accused has been identified as Rajnish Sahni.

The incident occurred late on Thursday evening.

Sarabha Nagar SHO Paramdeep Singh said a migrant woman had married Rajnish after the death of her husband. Yesterday, when the couple went to work, their two children, including a three-year-old girl, were alone at home.

When the accused returned home, the children were playing outside. He took the girl inside the room and committed the crime. However, other migrants heard the cries of the child. They caught hold of the accused and beat him up and later handed him over to the police.

The victim was rushed to the Civil Hospital for treatment. The SHO said the accused was arrested after registering a case against him.
