PAU invites farmers to  pre-book potato seeds

Ludhiana, January 30

In an endeavour promote crop diversification in Punjab, the Punjab Agricultural University (PAU) has produced certified, accurately-labelled seed of potato varieties Kufri Pukhraj, Kufri Jyoti, Kufri Sindhuri, and a newly developed variety, Punjab Potato 102.

PAU’s Associate Director (Seeds) Dr Rajinder Singh said that they aim to supply reliable seeds to the farmers, discouraging them from procuring un-recommended seeds and encouraging them to diversify their cropping pattern by cultivating vegetables.

The interested farmers can purchase these potato seeds through advance bookings with Associate Director (Seeds) at PAU, via mobile numbers 94649-92257, 98772-96788, landline number 0161-2400898, or the email [email protected].
