Protecting environment need of the hour, says District Judge

Ludhiana, August 6

District Bar Association (DBA), under the supervision of its president Parupkar Singh Ghumman, organised a tree plantation drive at the open parking space area of the District Courts Complex here on Monday.

District and Sessions Judge Gurbir Singh, accompanied by Additional Sessions Judges Arunvir Vashisht, Munish Singal, Varinder Aggarwal, KK Kareer, CJM Suresh Goyal, ACJM Vikrant Kumar, and DLSA secretary Dr Gurpreet Kaur, joined the plantation drive.

The District Judge said protecting our environment was the need of the hour, but the saplings planted through various plantation drives were usually destroyed due to lack of care. He urged the DBA members to take care of saplings till they become trees.

Additional District Judges (ADJ) Amar Paul, ADJ KS Sullar, ADJ Balwinder Kumar, ADJ Anjana, ADJ TTS Bindra, ADJ RK Berry, ADJ Sonia Kinra and ADJ Sangeeta were present.
