Ludhiana, January 28

The Ludhiana police yesterday registered a case against the president of Tarksheel Society for insulting and making indecent remarks against the idol of Lord Rama at the newly built Ayodhya temple.

Shiv Sena Punjab National Chairman Rajiv Tandon, a complainant in the case, said while surfing Facebook he saw Surjeet Singh Dodhar, chairman of Tarksheel Society, was making indecent comments on the design of the idol of Lord Rama.

ASI Jaswant Singh, who is investigating the case, said that a case was registered against the accused under Section 295-A (hurting religious sentiments) of the IPC.
