NEW DELHI: Congress general secretary Priyanka Gandhi Vadra on Monday joined Twitter and adopted the handle that reflects her maiden and not marital name.

Congress general secretary Priyanka Gandhi Vadra on Monday joined Twitter and adopted the handle that reflects her maiden and not marital name.

A Congress message said Priyanka would be on Twitter as @priyankagandhi.

The official arrival of Priyanka on Twitter happened ahead of her visit to Lucknow where she will join brother and Congress president Rahul Gandhi in a road show.

Priyanka clocked over 6,000 followers within minutes.

She herself followed seven handles to start with, among them—the Congress, Rahul Gandhi, Ahmed Patel, Ashok Gehlot, Randeep Surjewala,  Jyotiraditya Scindia and Sachin Pilot.
