Lucknow: Journalist Pawan Jaiswal, who made a video of schoolchildren in Mirzapur being served salt and roti as their mid-day meal, has been booked under Sections 120B (criminal conspiracy), 186 (obstructing public servant in discharging duty), 193 (false evidence) and 420 (cheating) of the IPC.

Noida: An accused in the 2015 lynching of Dadri’s Mohammad Akhlaq, over suspicion that he had stored beef in his house,  was arrested following an exchange of fire with the police in Greater Noida on Monday. Hari Om, 30, who was wanted in four cases of robbery and dishonestly receiving stolen property in Ghaziabad, was shot in the leg. He, along with other accused, was out on bail. PTI
