Moga, June 20
Some unidentified persons fired 12-15 rounds at the house of a landlord of Moga’s Bambiha Bhai village on Monday morning. However, no one was injured.
The police reached the spot immediately and started a probe, which has created panic in slain gangster Devinder Bambiha’s native village.
In his complaint, landlord Tarlochan Singh told the police that on May 2, he got a WhatsApp call from a person reportedly at the behest of Canada-based gangster Goldy Brar, demanding a sum of Rs 5 lakh. But he did not pay any heed to the threat. Goldy Brar is an associate of the Lawrence Bishnoi group.
Today morning, some youths entered his house by climbing a 6-ft-high wall and started firing shots from automatic weapons at the gate and walls.
Meanwhile, SSP Gulneet Singh Khurana said the matter was being probed thoroughly. The police had recorded Tarlochan’s statement and the truth would be out soon, he added.
