An online activity on 'brushing teeth' was conducted for the students of the Kindergarten wing. The teachers demonstrated how to clean upper teeth, lower teeth, inside the mouth and the tongue with proper strokes and movements of the toothbrush. Tiny tots followed the instructions of their teachers. They were advised to drink plenty of water, take healthy diet, avoid sugary foods and brush twice a day.  Children were encouraged to brush their teeth properly and regularly as regular brushing helps remove bacteria and plaque that may cause tooth decay and gum disease.


Amity International School, Mohali

The lockdown may have prevented the students from meeting their teachers in person, but their feelings are too strong to be overpowered by any deterrent! This bond was reflected as the day started with an overwhelming morning assembly where the senior students sang a melodious song and shared personalised greetings for all the teachers. The younger students were no less. They expressed their gratitude and appreciation for their teachers by making lovely cards, as a token of love and sharing their feelings in the form of small snippets shot by their parents at home.


Ryan International School, Chandigarh

Students celebrated virtual Teacher's Day with gaiety. A special assembly was conducted by the students. Presentation on Dr Sarvepalli Radhakrishnan who was a philosopher, academician, statesman and served as the first Vice President of India and the second President of India, astounded everyone.  All the teachers expressed heartfelt gratitude to the Chairman Pinto and Managing Director Madam Grace Pinto for their motivating and inspiring message.


St Vivekanand Millennium School, Pinjore

The school expressed gratitude to the nation builders on the occasion of Teacher's Day. The celebration commenced with 'Saraswati pooja' where all the teachers took the blessings of the Almighty. Soon after, students wished their teachers with beautiful cards to appreciate and thank the unwavering commitment of the teachers towards their duty.


Vidya Valley School, Kharar

Teacher's Day was celebrated with zeal by students. Amid the COVID-19 pandemic, pupils were able to pay their gratitude towards their teachers. Since the celebrations went virtual this year, they put up a series of events like poetry recitation, speech, dance performances, role play etcetera; for their teachers. Students made every effort to make their teachers feel special on their day.


Shemford Futuristic School, Pinjore

A week-long online assembly was conducted to sensitize the Shemstars about the importance of water and the need to save it. Speeches were delivered and animated movies were shown to make them aware of how useful water is in everyday life and how important it is to use this natural resource wisely.


Delhi Public School, Chandigarh

The students of Class VII presented their annual class show "Atulya Bharat-Jiska Har Rang Khoobsurat Hai" virtually. Undeterred by the current Covid situation, the students went on to give a wonderfully impressive performance consisting of rhythmic dances, soulful singing and eloquent recitations. 

Through their cultural extravaganza, they celebrated the colourful ethnicity of our country. This presentation by the students went on to enthrall the audience and also showed the optimism, determination and talent in the students. 

Principal Reema Dewan lauding the efforts of the students and the staff, said this showcase of talent infused in all of us, a sense of hope and confidence about all our futures. She congratulated the prize winners and thanked the parents for their support.

As part of an initiative to promote good reading habits during the pandemic, the school's library department organised its first-ever online Virtual Book Fair for classes III to XII. All the students enjoyed an immersive experience of browsing books with book trailers, author videos and much more.


Manav Rachna International School, Mohali 

The Teacher's Day celebrations began with virtual greeting cards and heartfelt wishes from the students for their beloved teachers. Teachers were left spellbound by the videos and skits prepared by children depicting their bond. Above all, they were appreciated by the children for being their friends, philosophers and guides who are virtually still holding their hands and leading them on. Senior wing students recorded and dedicated video messages for their teachers. A brief video on the life history of Dr Radhakrishnan was played in the classes which highlighted the importance of the day.


New India Senior Secondary School, Pkl

Teacher's Day was celebrated with gaiety to thank the teaching faculty for the contribution they make to the lives of students. Special tribute was paid to Dr Sarvepalli Radhakrishnan, the second President of India. Students expressed their gratitude and appreciation for their teachers. They sent special thanks to their teachers through handmade cards and self-written poems, to name a few. Through virtual classes, teachers discussed the importance of the day. Speeches and poetry recitation competitions were held. Manager K K Gupta applauded teachers for their selfless efforts even during the pandemic.
