Shubhankar shoots 69, lies 37th in Abu Dhabi



Abu Dhabi: Shubhankar Sharma holed more birdies than either of the first two days, but also dropped four shots in an eventful third round to be placed tied-37th in the Abu Dhabi HSBC Golf Championship. Sharma posted his first-ever score in the 60s. After 71-70 on the first two days, he returned a 3-under 69 to get to 6-under for the tournament.

Anirban Lahiri made two double-bogeys, one on each side of the tough Stadium Course, to card a 2-under 70 in the second round of the American Express Golf Championship. Lahiri (70-70) is 4-under and the cut will be applied after the third round. Rickie Fowler compiled a fine 64 at the PGA West’s Jack Nicklaus Tournament Course and moved into a share of the lead after 36 holes. Scottie Scheffler also opened with rounds of 65 and 64 and is tied for the lead.

Rashid seventh, Kuchar in lead after Round 3

Rashid Khan had an eventful day, firing six birdies along with four bogeys to finish at a 2-under 69, to be placed seventh after the third round of the SMBC Singapore Open golf tournament. The 28-year-old Delhi golfer is way behind the runaway leader Matt Kuchar, who shot a 9-under 62 to move to 17-under. SSP Chawrasia (69) is tied-36th, Rahil Gangjee (72) is tied-39th and Khalin Joshi (72) is tied-57th.
