A week-long workshop on “Structural Equation Modelling using AMOS and PLS” organised at Punjabi University concluded today.
Over 45 participants from different states and abroad participated in it. Dr BS Ghuman, Vice-Chancellor, Punjabi University, said statistical tools such as the SPSS, the AMOS and the PLS are imperative for the research work in the present era of innovation and technology. He also stressed upon the need to select an appropriate analytical tool for data analysis.
Dr Ritu Lehal, Head, School of Applied Management, said such programmes are organised as part of learning projects and said the participants should understand the relevance of innovative research methodology. Department officials said they will continue with similar research promoting activities in the department.
MOOC workshops begin
Punjabi University’s Educational Multimedia Research Centre (EMRC) has started special Massive Online Open Course (MOOC) workshops at various centres in Punjab, Himachal Pradesh and Haryana.
Officials said the major drawback in spreading the DREAM-learning (E-learning through Digital and Multimedia modes for Remotes) was the lack of awareness about the MOOC among the literate section of the society, including the teachers and scholars.
