Prof Nagarajan Ramamoorthy has been appointed director of the IIM, Amritsar, during a meet of board of governors of the institute.
Ramamoorthy will be the first director of the local institute after four years of its inception. Ramamoorthy has worked for Indian Airlines, Brakes India Limited of TVS group and Voltas Limited of Tata group. He pursued his doctoral studies from the Robert H Smith School of Business, University of Maryland, USA.
Prof Nagarajan received his PG Diploma in Personnel Management and Industrial Relations from XLRI, Jamshedpur, and his Ph.D in Business and Management from the Robert H. Smith School of Business, University of Maryland, USA.
His research on cross-cultural management has been published in several leading international journals such as human relations, British journal of management, International journal of human resource management, journal of International management.
Amritsar’s is the 15th IIM in the country. — TNS
