As part of Swasth Bharat Tandrust Punjab Yatra, a seminar was organised at Shri Ram Ashram Public School here on Friday. School Education Minister OP Soni presided over the seminar as chief guest.
He said, “The Punjab government is serious about environment and health of its people. Persons involved in adulteration of food products will not be spared.”
Civil Surgeon Hardeep Singh Ghai and District Health Officer Lakhbir Singh Bhagowalia stressed on the aim of creating awareness regarding right food. Bhagowalia said, “The aim of the yatra is to create awareness on good health, clean environment and clean water.” The yatra started from the school and proceeded to various places as per the plan.
Chief guest OP Soni was given a formal welcome by Balbir Bajaj, president of Shri Ram Ashram Public School, SN Joshi, manager-cum-educational advisor and Principal Vinodita Sankhyan.
Joshi thanked the chief guest and other dignitaries. He added that we should be fully aware of our eating habits and should also pay heed to safe food. He encouraged the school students by saying that the hope of the country lies on the young shoulders. So our youth should be safe and strong, “Eat Right, Be Bright”.
Principal Vinodita Sankhyan expressed her gratitude to the chief guest for being a part of the gala event. An enthralling atmosphere was created by students of the school by presenting a beautiful cultural programme.
