8 posing as CID officials loot Rs 6 lakh, gold

MALOUT: Eight unidentified persons impersonating as CID officials from Delhi looted Rs 6 lakh and 12 tolas of gold from a financier at Sri Chand locality in the town on Sunday evening.

Eight unidentified persons impersonating as CID officials from Delhi looted Rs 6 lakh and 12 tolas of gold from a financier at Sri Chand locality in the town on Sunday evening. The police have started investigation.

Victim Jashandeep Singh alleged that when he reached back home on Sunday evening, eight persons wearing safari suits entered his house and started frisking.

“They took away Rs 6 lakh, gold jewels and some documents from my house. They also took me into a car and released me after sometime,” alleged Jashandeep.
