Youth shot in broad daylight

Bathinda, July 16

A youth was shot dead in broad daylight in Bhagta area  on Tuesday.  According to information, Jagdeep Singh, a resident of Salebrah, along with his friend Raj Singh of Lehra Mohabbat, had gone to meet a leader for some work. 

After finishing their work when they were sitting in their car, a person opened fire on them. Jagdeep sustained a bullet in the head. Thereafter, Raj got him admitted to the Civil Hospital where doctor declared him dead. The suspect managed to free from the spot. 

SHO Rajinder Kumar said it had come to light that there was an old rivalry between the suspect and the victim.— TNS
