One held for breaking idols of Hindu deities

BATHINDA: The Rampura city police today arrested a person for breaking idols of Hindu deities and a case under Section 295-A of the IPC has been registered against the accused.



Bathinda, February 21

The Rampura city police today arrested a person for breaking idols of Hindu deities and a case under Section 295-A of the IPC has been registered against the accused.

The accused has been identified as Goldy Sharma, a resident of Ramsarra village. According to sources, the situation turned tense in Rampura, when a person placed idols of Hindu deities near garbage and when local residents tried to prevent him from doing so he broke the idols and thrown them in the canal. — TNS
