A seminar on Shakti Application of the Punjab Police for the help of women was organised on Friday at the library of DAV College here.

Detailed information regarding the measures taken by the district police for eradicating drug menace from society, facilities at Sanjh Kendra, steps to follow in downloading Shakti App, its features and usage was given to the girl students of the college.

Dr Subhash Chander, principal of the college, sub-inspector (SI) Bhawna Bishnoi, in-charge, Sanjh Kendra, Muktsar, assistant sub-inspector (ASI) Amarjeet Singh, Dr Arun Kalra, Prof Padam Pathela, Prof Sudesh Grover, Prof Deepak Aggarwal, Dr Mukta Mutneja and other staff members were present at the seminar.
