Some imported horses and mares owned by SAD chief Sukhbir Singh Badal are the attraction point of the animal fair being organised on the occasion of Maghi Mela here.

Sukhbir has sent his horses and mares just for display. Notably, this animal fair is famous for trading of horses at a large scale. A number of people bring their animals, especially horses to the fair.

Mahender Singh and Jaswant Singh, employees at the stud farm of Sukhbir at Badal village, who have brought the horses and mares here, said, “These are imported horses and mares. These have unique looks, which get attention of everyone. A number of people are visiting our shed, asking about the qualities of these horses and mares.”

GS Bhaun, the animal fair contractor, said horses of a number of breeds had been brought this year, attracting a large number of people from faraway places.

Meanwhile, some visitors said they had never seen such horses anywhere in the past.
