Bathinda, December 3
Students of Baba Farid Senior Secondary School participated in the ‘Food Making without Fire’ competition. They showed their skills in preparing different varieties of snacks, puddings and beverages.
The competition was organised under the supervision of the head of the Commerce Department, Mandeep Kaur. There were 41 teams participating in the competition.
Ravneet and Manreet of Class XI (medical) got the first position in the contest.
Karamjeet Kaur, Namisha, Arun and Priya got consolation prizes.
Principal of the school, Baljinder Singh, appreciated the efforts of the staff and students in organising the competition. Director of administration, Paramjeet Kaur Dhaliwal, honoured the students.
Chairman of the school, Gurmeet Singh Dhaliwal, motivated ad praised the students for participating in extracurricular activities.
Free check-up camp
Students of the science stream organised a free blood investigation, blood pressure and sugar check-up camp.
The camp was organised under the supervision of Daljeet Singh, lecturer in biology. The chief guest on the occasion was Colonel Naveen Chandra Dwivedi, Commanding Officer 2nd Garhwal Rifles, Bathinda Cantonment (C/o 56 APO) and the guest of honour was Narinder Kumar Bassi, community aids educator, UN Aids Civil Society awardee.
Students of the medical stream checked blood pressure, blood groups, hemoglobin level, malaria, and blood clotting time of the staff members and students of BFGI.
Principal of the school, Baljinder Singh, motivated the students for the initiative taken by them and provided his best wishes to them.
