BATHINDA: The local police have confiscated a truck “illegally” carrying 13 cows to a slaughter house on the Bathinda-Malout road near an Ambuja cement factory. The police also arrested three persons in this regard.
The accused have been identified as Arshad, Furgan and Kalwa, all residents of UP. A case under the Prevention of Cruelty to Animals Act, 1960, has been registered at the Thermal police station. Police officers said they got information that a truck was carrying cow illegally. — TNS
